Guest guest Posted January 4, 2007 Report Share Posted January 4, 2007 What I have started to do (based on " The French Don't Diet Plan " ) is not so much to eat half and then see if I'm still hungry, but rather to really taste and enjoy every bite, to make sure my mouth is empty before I put another bite in there, to see how I'm enjoying the meal each time I swallow, and to really pay attention to what is happening around me (my husband or a book usually). I find it often takes me so long to eat a meal, I get bored with it half-way through. This doesn't work every time, sometimes I start in eating faster and I finish the whole thing, but generally I am satisfied with a lot less than before.
