Guest guest
Oh, don't feel bad, . I can't imagine anyone who could have withstood such temptation. Did anyone else (everyone else?) have trouble with Valentine's Day? I was lowgrade cranky all day because we couldn't go out, couldn't have chocolate, couldn't have darling heart-shaped iced cookes, etc. etc. etc. It was just a head thing, because we had absolutely wonderful grilled sirloin (recipe in book), a great salad and ff/s-f butterscotch pudding. But if someone had put a turtle in front of me (especially ones I had slaved over), I would have succumbed to turtle breakfast, dinner and supper. Tomorrow is a new day, always. Thank goodness! Valentine's Day Diet Massacre Trying to impress the new boyfriend by making an edible present, I spent 4hours making chocolate covered turtles (or rather sea turtles since theywere at least twice as big as store bought ones!). I was so good any onlytried a little dab of the caramel to make sure it was ok since I never madecandy before (damn food network inspired me to craziness). He came over andmade me dinner. He made chicken alfredo with the pasta separate so I onlyhad a little to taste his skills. Pretty good! After our nice dinner, I pullout the huge plate to present him his gift at desert time . . . he HATESpecans! Ouch. Four hours down the tube. Then just as a special torture, heleaves the here. 3 dozen chocolate sea turtles taunting me. I caved in andhad 3 for breakfast. Unfortunately, I make really good turtles! I feelhorrible. Not only did my gift fall through, but I cheated BIG after beingso good. ( Deep breath . . . starting over. At least it wasn't a wholecake or something! But I had to confess. Everyone is so good at tellingtheir blunders, as I sit here and read them. Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. Guest guest
That was really sweet of you! <Hug> Our best laid plans sometimes backfire, don't they. You meant well, that counts for a lot. I'm sure you can find a good home (other than your tummy!) for the remaining turtles. then back on the wagon. :-) It wasn't a huge boo boo. Guest guest
-- So sorry to hear that things didn't go so well for you with the homemade turtles. Do you work? Can you take them for your co- workers? Give them away or something..say to a neighbor, a skinny friend, or something. Get them out of the house. Good luck. Guest guest
I'd be lying if I said I didn't eat anymore chocolate! ;o) I only gained a pound back (prob ALL chocolate!) so plan to keep going the way I have (P1). It is also that time, so maybe why I gave into the turtles! > > > Don't feel bad..........I was on the diet 7 days up untill Valentines.....I > totally cheated and didn't stop for 2 more days after > that.........AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.........I'm sure I gained that 5lbs I lost > right back.... Needless to say I started it again on Tuesday and am not sure > if I need to start totally over or just do it a few extra days. Anyone????
