Guest guest
Hey Steve, I hate the Skins!! (how about you ??) They beat Miami in the '82 Super Bowl (does Riggins ring a bell?). You are probably right about but he does take the other team's best reciever out of the game. But then again, his best days are probably over so he will likely be a bad investment. Moosehead is good beer. A lot of the nicer bars around town have it on tap. , that's one more for you to try. ---------- From: scwashdc@... Supposedly, the Redskins want to acquire 's pal Deon if the Cowboys release him in June as expected. I really hope Neon Deon goes elsewhere. He's just completely full of himself. And besides his winning personality, is at the age when his skills are diminishing and he's more susceptible to injuries. Sander's frequent invocations of God are reminiscent of ex-Redskins lineman Gilbert, who said he rejected Washington's contract offers because God spoke to him personally and told him to turn the Redskins down. Incidentally , the best Canadian beer I've found available in the United States is Moosehead. Steve
Guest guest
As a Dallas fan, the Skins are the enemy! And they have made some shrewd off-season maneuvers, which have us worried. I certainly don't mind players being religious. There was a lineman from Brigham Young a year or 2 ago that would have been a top-5 draft pick and certain millionaire, but his Mormon religion forbid him from working on Sundays. He walked away from millions to be a missionary. With Deion , it's just another gimmick to draw attention to himself. Good riddance! Moosehead, huh? Ok, I'll give it a try. And , I know about the Molson Canadian commercial ( " I am Joe, and I AM CANADIAN! " ). It doesn't air here in the States, but I've read about it. Does he speak for all Canadians? --- Fusca wrote: > Hey Steve, > > I hate the Skins!! (how about you ??) They > beat Miami in the '82 Super Bowl (does Riggins > ring a bell?). Guest guest
Hey , If you guys can unload to the Skins, it will be a double bonus. If that ever happens, my bet would be that will play well against Dallas for the next few games. How about those Stars? I did not think they would make it to the final this year but they are back again and have a good chance to beat New Jersey. I'll be rooting for them as I am a bit of an Eddie the Eagle fan. Eddie broke in with the Blackhawks (my favorite team) and had a few good years. He should have had at least 1 cup with the Hawks. Anyway, back to the Skins. I don't really like them but I think Joe Gibbs was probably one of the best coaches ever (he does good on TV too now). His wife has unilateral AN. I read an article she wrote in the ANA newsletter. She got the problem just as Joe was given the Redskins head coaching job (he was an assistant for some other team). Speaking of Joe, that Molson Canadian commercial plays a lot here. I don't really pay much attention to it but they call it " the rant " . Joe goes on about things that are truely Canadian. Labatts has a good one too about their Labatts Blue beer. They call that one " out of the blue " . Anyway, hope you enjoy the moose. ---------- From: and Christi Waldrip Sent: Thursday, May 25, 2000 9:52 PM To: NF2_Crewegroups Subject: Re: FW: Re: Football Stuff (non-NF-2) As a Dallas fan, the Skins are the enemy! Now he's doing quite well with his NASCAR team. Years ago, a somewhat cryptic reference in a Washington Post article suggested that his wife had had acoustic neuroma surgery. I wrote Coach Gibbs a letter wishing his wife all the best and complimenting him as a coach and as a fine example for DC youth. He wrote me back a personal, signed letter, which I still have. Joe Gibbs is one of the good guys and is still a unifying force in the Washington metropolitan area. Steve

Guest guest
/Steve, I agree with both of you about Gibbs, who was a class act. They don't make coaches like Gibbs and Landry any more, because the punks and criminals who make up today's NFL have to be coddled. Parcells was the exception, and now even he is gone. --- scwashdc@... wrote: > ffusca@... writes: > << > Anyway, back to the Skins.
