Guest guest
Hi Everyone! Here I sit, 33 weeks and thrilled and grateful to have made it this far. Here's the latest: (1) Latest U/S was on Friday. is still healthy and still growing...and also still breech. Looks like a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks is the plan, as long as I don't go into labor before then. It seems to me that s' growth is slowing down; we have watched her estimated weight go from the 51 percentile, to 42, to 36 in the last 3 ultrasounds. But the perinatologist still describes her as " not too big and not too small " , so DH and I are trying not to worry. She is currently 4 lbs. 4 oz. Only 12 more ounces and she will be big enough to come home from the hospital! :-) Also, because of her breech position, her head is shaped a little funny (oblong) because it is compressed against my ribs (oh yeah, I'm feeling that, all right). This is supposed to return to normal after birth. They said nothing's wrong inside the head, just outside, and they assured me it doesn't hurt her at all. It's something like the way babies' heads are compressed in childbirth. Again, DH and I are trying not to worry. (2) I started having painless, irregular contractions a couple of weeks ago. On Thursday I had so many, all afternoon, that I left work early and went straight to the OB. They put me on the monitor and I had 4 contractions in 30 minutes. So they checked my cervix (closed - yeah!) and they ran a fetal fibronectin test, which came back negative, which means I am >99% likely to NOT go into labor in the next 2 weeks. Whew. So I'm still trying to take it easy and push those fluids. Lots and lots of water (ugh). Hope all are well. Please continue to think happy thoughts for us, as I continue to worry every single day, which I know you guys can understand. Thanks for all the support! Hugs, Ula 's Mommy-to-be, EDD 9/16/01 __________________________________________________
