Hi :Thank You! I will remember what you said. What a good response to my silly reservations. I'm glad you got a chuckle. I laugh at myself for feeling this way, too. Parts is parts. I'll think of that when I have the test. :)Sharon It's not easy taking my problems one at a time when they refuse to get in line.

had an EMG on

their legs? Hi Sharon, My son and I have both had EMGs done on our legs. There is two ways that they can choose to do it. My son had both done and I have only one done. I have had the EMG done a few times and it really isn't bad at all. Just a little funky feeling but no pain or serious discomfort. Really nothin' to be nervous about. The doctor just took some electrodes and gave little shocks to spots on my legs and feet -- no biggy at all. Just a little weird that you can't control your leg from jumping a little. My son on the other hand had both do both. One was the electrodes and the second was taking a small needle probe and inserting it into his muscles. I didn't expect this when he was in the children's hospital and they took him downstairs for the test since I had only had the electrode EMG. He said the needle was quite painful and I

could tell that it was horrible. Unfortunately, they had to repeat the tests on him a month or so later when he was readmitted to check for further damage to his muscles and nerves. I had my latest one done at the beginning of summer. I was nervous thinking what if they do the needle one on me. My doctor said that they don't do the needle on MS patients since they already know that this is a disease effecting the nerves and they don't need to do this to determine what disease the patient has. They did this on my son while they were still doing his work-up. My neuro did the electrode one on me to check my small nerves only --- so much easier. Don't be nervous --- it's just a little funky feeling and you get the results right there. Smiles and hugs to you. I hope this helped.
