You know, I've often wished that some people could feel our pain just for a little while to see what we go through but then when something actually happens to someone we know, it's devastating and I realize I would never ever wish anything like this on someone. Denny is in my prayers daily!! He has gone through a lot for someone who never took meds and is really used to "taking care of" you instead of the other way around. I don't have to live with him but it seems that he's dealt with it all pretty well. Considering he's a man. LOL If that doesn't get Bob or Alan out of the woodwork, nothing will hehehehe. Hug Denny and congratulate him for me on the good labs and weight! Denny's Doc appt Well--Denny's WBC and RBC have decreased--but just within the normal for his chemo--yay! And he only lost two pounds so far this time instead of 20 in two weeks--so that's a plus. He DOES need to lose, but not that way. She gave him some new meds--phenergan suppositories for if the nausea gets too bad---LOL, typical male he said it will NEVER get that bad. I've threatened to "sneak one in" while he's sleeping if he seems to be at that point, LOL. She also gave him prevacid and valium. He's taken one of mine a few times (I know, I know) when he felt like he was going to lose his temper at work. Mine are 2 mgs. It helped and also seemed to help with the nausea. If he continues to need them for over a month then she'll switch him to trazadone at night because it's easier on the liver. Right now he uses benadryl most nights for sleep, although that problem seems to be easing. Poor Denny---he's usually on no meds and right now he has all of the above plus his weekly shot of pegasys and his 6--200 mg--ribavirin a day. Plus his multi-vit and vit e and vit c. Although we are not doing the vits religiously because of his nausea. Anyway--so far, so good! LFT's remain normal as always. (again--for a man, LOL) He did one time start to say I didn't understand how he was feeling from the meds, LOL--but he caught himself and said "Oh , I guess you do!" (duh!) Thanks!
