Guest guest
I know what you mean about the naptime..my youngest doesn't take naps every day anymore, but when she did I alway felt like I SHOULD be productive while she was sleeping, but would just end up watching tv, or reading a book instead. I hope you can motivate yourself..but with twins, it seems like you would NEED that time to relax! lol Amyeb
Guest guest
Hi all, well, I'm starting day 3 of this. I've been doing really well so far. Yesterday I did eat a few chocolate chips during the boys' nap, but other than that, I'm hanging in there. I'm still waiting on our VCR to come back from being fixed. I have some exercise tapes that I want to start using during their naps. I know I keep mentioning it, but their nap time is really my BIG down fall. I am stuck in the house - I can't be out of ear shot in case they wake up - I'm bored and lonely. So I eat. I'm going to start writing a list of little things that I can do, or even things that need to be done around the house. So every day, I can do one of those things instead of plopping down in front of the TV to watch Murder She Wrote. Today I think I'll take off all those little white plastic hooks on our cabinets. The boys can get them open faster than I can now, so they aren't doing any good, and they are a pain to deal with. As a side note - we still have the magnet locks on the cabinets that have dangerous stuff in them - they work like a charm! I started a journal, but haven't written in it for a couple of months - I need to get back at that. Elana - I love talking about the hell of infertility I'm not sure why - I guess because it was the hardest most important thing I've ever done, and I FINALLY succeeded. I'm very proud of my accomplishment. So sure - send me a note to SCarberry@... and we can talk about it. Desy, , and Amyeb Thanks for the welcomes! Dawn - welcome - I'm the fellow Newbie around here - sounds like we're at the same place and want to get to close to the same goal - maybe we can help each other get there. lilxivy00? - you didn't give us your name, but I hope you can start feeling better soon. Well, I need to get out there & see what the boys are up to, and eat my breakfast - that's one of my new things to do - Eat Breakfast. I think it helps me not need to snack later in the day. Talk to you all later! Sherlyn
Guest guest
Sherlyn, I think the idea to do something productive during nap time is extremely good one. Todays chore (active) is planting the fall beds here in California its snapdragons ,pansies ,stock for me. Me on the end of a shovel is a grueling task gets my heart rate up and I see flowers as results. I do not watch much T.v. but I spend at least 4 hours at the computer running my home based psychic business for a good Laugh see www.keen.com my member name Goddess Dawn I also have a web page at www.goddessdawn.net This sitting at the machine I blame on my bloosoming figure. I am still at 192 no loss but was out of town since Friday just got home yesterday , at least I did not gain while on the road. I did walk while I ws in Bull Shoals, Arkansas around the lake. I am hitting the water taking my body balance and watching it ~ Staying accountable to this group I think is helping too !! I want to see 190 soon..... Love, Dawn Good Morning! Guest guest
You are my hero today! I have had a lot of success stopping eating at home and just sticking leftovers in a tupperware container. Eating away from home, however, is proving to be much harder. I tend to keep eating on autopilot after my stomach is done asking for food. I did, however, manage to not eat a really gross pretzel yesterday. I was with my nieces. I took a bite, said yuck, and they begged for the rest. They were hungry and loved it. I was only barely hungry and hated it. Problem solved! They have been staying with me for a few weeks (they live out of state). It has been really interesting watching especially the 7-year-old eat. She still has that natural IE going for her. I have seen her chow down 2 or 3 full meals within a one hour period of time when she is really hungry, yet push away her favorite foods on other occasions after a couple of bites. She told me she thought she was hungry, but really wasn't. Wow -- what a concept -- we have the right to decide part way through a meal that we are done! I keep reading about it, I know it in my head, but it really was cool to see it happen live! Good Morning! I felt great becuase i got what i wanted and my boyfriend and i shared the salad and i only ate half of the burger and left all of the french fries. I have a difficult time leaving things on the plate even if i don't like them so this was a big step for me to say to myself " if you don't like it, leave it, and if you love it savor it". (and its mighty nice in northernmost California too Don't know about you, but I have found that my IE 'journey' is anything but a 'straight' line! I've had zigs and zags and even a tumble backwards too, but forward, ever onward is the way to go ehugs, Katcha > > Hey all > > It is a goregous day out here in Northern California.
