Guest guest
Dear listmates, We were reminded how much we as parents have to be on the ball last weekend. My son has come down with a double whammy of the flu and quite wild ear infections in both ears. My husband took him to an all night pediatric care center on saturday night - spent 20 minutes discussing his heavy metal issues / chelation with the doctor advising about how we needed to avoid anything with thimerosal in it etc. She was very interested in the discussion. She then went on to prescribed an ear drop which we promptly came home and dosed him with during the night. The following day I just happened to be looking at the box and saw that they contain thimerosal as a preservative 0.01%. I felt furious about what I had been putting into my sick childs body. It seems that no matter what impression the doc gives - it is up to us as parents to check everything - just wanted to pass on the warning. Guest guest
Dear Kathy, I grew up in Canada and in the Sixties when I was having so many horrible earches, my mother used to buy a box of RED cotton batton. Everyone used it those days used it. The RED cotton batton seemed to EMIT a warmth and my earcahes used to clear up after that. Many years later I heard it was taken off the market. Looking back I think judging by how RED it was and it being an ear remedy, maybe that had mercury in it too. It was really RED!! Good grief, I think I m going to chase this up.
