Guest guest
, I guess we will have to be satisfied with being just a demon among anti-aa demons. How does that saying go - we are called legion for we are many. Good point about those endless aa commercials in meetings. It all seemed so contrived and rote. I used to sit observing the routine towards my final divorce of AA and listen to people spew out the famous line to the newbee's, " Look for the similarities and not the differences " , and it would occur to me that it was heck of a lot easier to spot the similarities among the clan that to find any differences. An endless cycle of wash and wear AA flattery and liberal demonstrations of mental masturbation designed to stoke the bull shit quotient. Good grief! Pleased to meet you, . I'm afraid the AA Anti-Christ position has already been filled by the multitudes of rational minded people who can still think for themselves. Toward the end of my career in AA, I used to regularly remark that I felt like the AA Antichrist. It appears now that I'll have to get in line. I feel like I've been demoted, but I've really been enjoying the company. I used to cringe in meetings at the endless AA commercials and the declarations of Love for Alcoholics Anonymous. I felt so out of place. It got to the point where dental surgery or painful, rectal itch would have been a welcome alternative. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: /group/12-step-free - Simplifying group communications
