Guest guest
Hellow my thyca buds! Nick, Your quotes are extraordinary. Pondering them has helped ease the pain of enduring my life right now. I just returned from seeing a doc that specializes in liver diseases. He wants to rule out cancer and other stuff, so next Friday I have to go have a biopsy and CAT scan of my liver done. I'm at the end of my 3rd hypo week and it's almost more than I can take right now having to juggle all these doctor appts and tests not to mention my 2+ year " pending " divorce paperwork and court dates. The divorce itself isn't much stress though because it has been a good thing for me and children since he abused us all. He has had all visitation rights revoked by the Court and I have sole custody. Single parenting when you're not a well person is extremely difficult. And if I make it to the " other side " of this adversity, I know I'll be a stronger person because of it. From what I was told this morning, the liver biopsy is a little more involved than a thyroid biopsy. I'll have to stay at the hospital for 6-8 hours following the biopsy for observation. Then activity is restricted for the following 2 days--of course that's no problem with me being hypo--I don't have the engery for much activity. I did, at least, remember to tell the doc NOT to use any contrast dye in the CAT scan. He said that is no problem and can be done without it. I see my endo again tomorrow, not for thyca but for my out-of-control diabetes. I'm having to simultaneously be treated right now for Diabetes, my Liver Problem and my thyca. Thanks for listening --Chris tt 4/9/01; papillary w/ follicular variant 3.8 cm; RAI ablation sch for 7/23/01; in the middle of " hypoland "
