Guest guest
Hello, I am Jackie and I started Atkins today. I tried it about a year or two ago for 2 months and lost 30 pounds, but quit since it was hard to cook different for just me. This time I am very determined and my husband says he might try it this time. Question: Do you count carbs in bacon and eggs? Guest guest
The brand of bacon I buy has 0.3 carbs per 3 slice serving. Large eggs have 0.6 carbs each. I count them Kirstie (glad to live in Canada where the labels don't say 0 if it's not true, although not all foods have to be labelled!) Guest guest
Jackie stay determined hubby or no hubby. Your worth it! I'm so glad that I am doing Atkins and watching the inches and pounds melt away. It's the easiest "diet" I've ever been on and I have no problem knowing this is for life because I feel soooooo much better eating this way. Give it a few weeks and be true to the WOE (way of eating) and you'll be a fanatic about it in no time! Welcome to our List, it's the best List around. Sincerely, Cheryl Ü >>>This time I am very determined and my husband says he might try it this time.<<<

Guest guest
Jackie, Welcome! For best results, count all carbs. That way, you'll know your true tolerance for carbs and how many you can have each day and be able to lose. Terry

Guest guest
Hi, just a few suggestions. I don't know much about HPV - it could be that HPV causes itching, or it could be that HPV is a red-herring, as recent studies have shown that carrying HPV is actually very common ( I forget the exact percentage of women who carry it at any one time, but it's lots, and - I think - most don't show symptoms). But as i said, I don;t know much about HPV. Do you have any visible skin changes in the region, and/or have you had a biopsy to look for dermatological problems? Lichen sclerosis can cause itching. If tests for dermatological problems and yeast & bacterial infections are all negative, you might have pudendal neuralgia. This is generally caused by compression of the pudendal nerve, either by a misaligned vertebra in your lower spine, or by tense pelvic floor muscles. It can cause various wierd symptoms ranging from clitoral pain to itching in the outer lips, or a " creepy-crawly " or " prickly " feeling in your pubic hairs. I have the latter " prickly " symptom in exactly the regions you have mentioned, and when it is bad it turns into itching. There is an article (I think) at: http://prairie.lakes.com/~roseleaf/fibro/sex-faq.html#Vl which contains the only good description I have seen of pudendal neuralgia symptoms (though the site is currently down, so I can't check it). Hope this gives you a start - others may have more suggestions. It's a positive sign that things are not as bad as they used to be. andrea xxx > Hello girls > im new here...ive been having itching for about 6 months and it has > gone away for it is not as bad as it used to be but i have noticed > that the outer lips kinda hurt sometimes and i dontknow what could b > wrong....i have been diagnosed with HPV but no signs of VIN or yeast > so thats out of the question is there something else out ther that i > dontknow about with similar symptoms???? any info would be useful, im > getting worried for the doctor cant find anything

While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone.__________________________________________________
