The ability to choose is freedom in itself. Different choices and preferences are quite relevant here. The point is you do have a choice and really are capable of deciding for yourself what is appropriate for you. It is not that you must choose because some group or person tries to define your reality for you. Quit the opposite when you take responsiblity to assign your own meaning to your life. Still there are probably some people listening that feel their abstinence gives them some kind of moral high ground. 12 step residual thinking no doubt. Any spying die in the wool 12 steppin lifer's can disregard this notice as it will make no sense and in fact will seem offensive.
