Guest guest
I too sleep with the light on.. it makes no difference at all. I usually play music to sleep by. Aren't we a funny lot:)) Penny UK Re: Re: BEDROOMS -- AMY I absolutely cannot sleep without my TV on. I'vetried. It drives me nuts. I toss and turn and getmiserable. When my TV is on, I go right to sleep if Iam tired. If my tV shuts off in the night...Iimmediately wake up and am fully awake. As long asthe TV stays on, I sleep like a baby. I've laways beenthat way. And Bastian prefers his TV on although heuses it as a distraction from going to sleep. So hegets mad at mommy when I shut his off. I also wouldrather have a dim light on. Brighter than anightlight but not as bright as most lamps. I keep alow watt bulb in my reading lamp. I can sleep withoutit but not without my TV. I use it as white noise. But, to each his own right? Guest guest
I play a white noise maker..... only way I can even get a bit of sleep... And even then it seems impossible, SO I read in bed... Do you think that's ok to do? I mean it's not like I ever get sex or anything, ha. I too sleep with the light on.. it makes no difference at all. I usually play music to sleep by. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Yes we are funny. I have one surefire measure to help me sleep. But, unfortunately, I cannot use it often! My hubby has this horribly ugly blanket that he has had for a long time. Not a security blankie thing but just a really comfy blankie. Each and everytime I lay down with it, I fall asleep within minutes. He's the same way with it. Bastian is too. Unfortunately, eventually, it will apart and what we will do then I'm not sure. The other unfortunate thing is that hubby doesn't like to share. We actually have named it the power of the green blankie. Sad for a couple of 28 year olds huh? So, here I am, sleeping with a light on, the TV on and wishing I had his blanket. --- ygo65@... wrote: > I too sleep with the light on.. it makes no > difference at all. Guest guest
it's funny we've been talking about this the last few days. i was reading an article in a magazine today about sleep. it was 50 ways to fight fatigue in family circle. tip 22 says the thing about only using your bed for sleeping and sex. step 40 says toi read a good book or try watching tv. i just laughed when i read the article since that seems to be two things that contradict each other. i read, sleep, eat, play with my son, cuddle the dog. everything in bed. wayney --- sunflowergardens wrote: > I play a white noise maker..... > > only way I can even get a bit of sleep... > > And even then it seems impossible, SO I read in > bed... > > Do you think that's ok to do? 28 yrs old, married, 3 yr old son JRA dx'ed at age 7 (1984) FMS dx'ed in 2001 OA, Osteoporosis, Scoliosis, occasional depression from chronic illness, etc. All the fun stuff that goes with chronic illness! Guest guest
Glad to know we aren't the only ones who has something old they love to sleep with. I'm a big believer in whatever works works no matter how odd. --- wrote: > I have had the same pillow since I was 3...how sad > is THAT?? Guest guest
I have a teddy bear named Cheezy, that my husband gave to me one Valentine's Day when we were dating. He has a hot pink T-shirt that says, " I (heart) you amy " . I sleep with him every night and he even travels with us. He went all the way to Maui with us on our honeymoon. Once I had to travel to Cincinnati for work and I accidentally left him there. I called the hotel and they had found him. They mailed him back. LMAO --- Waynette Porter wrote: > Glad to know we aren't the only ones who has > something > old they love to sleep with. I'm a big believer in > whatever works works no matter how odd. Guest guest
You go girl!! I don't care what they say, I have tried a ton of different things, and none of them (Besides taking meds, ha) Changed a darn thing for me sleep wise! So I say ENJOY your bed, No matter what that means for you as an individual! it's funny we've been talking about this the last few days. i was reading an article in a magazine today about sleep. it was 50 ways to fight fatigue in family circle. tip 22 says the thing about only using your bed for sleeping and sex. step 40 says toi read a good book or try watching tv. i just laughed when i read the article since that seems to be two things that contradict each other. i read, sleep, eat, play with my son, cuddle the dog. everything in bed. wayney --- sunflowergardens wrote: > I play a white noise maker..... > > only way I can even get a bit of sleep...
