Guest guest
Thanks Joanne. I know where you're coming from and I appreciate it. I am just not motivated. Boy, today was rough with the teenager. He went off and stayed with some friends and then lied about where he was and when he came back, I grounded him. Geez, I sure hope I can survive these teenage years. It sure is rough with this one. Doesn't help that that time of the month is here and all I want to do is cry. One thing that helps though, is knowing, this shall pass too. Thank God! Sorry if I am negative today folks. Just gotta let it out. Thanks, Tina Re: Loathe Exercise!-Help! I know it takes commitment and I just dont have it. I just have to keep trying I guess. > Thanks, Tina, Just DO IT as the saying goes... and remember " 30 days a habit makes " .... you can make a new habit.... a good one. STart by telling yourself you love to exercise! Here's a few favorite quotes: Sow a thought, reap an action Sow an action, reap a habit Sow a habit, reap a character Sow a character, reap a destiny! What the mind of [a person] can conceive and believe, the mind of [a person] can achieve. Napoleon Hill " Never, never, never quit. " Winston Churchill " Quitters never win and winners never quit! " Well, I hope these help! put them on post-it notes and stick them around the house to motivate yourself! be blessed! {{{{{hugs}}}}} Joanne
Guest guest
Thanks Lucia. Re: Loathe Exercise!-Help! Hi, I recently read a suggestion for people who loathe exercise. I don't know if it will help or not. Be sure to do a 5 minute " cool down " at the end of exercise. Here's the reason they gave: If you don¹t cool down you will feel rotten. (I feel rotten if I don¹t do a cool down, so this seems true.) You tend to remember how you felt at the end of exercise, so you learn to hate exercise. Anyway, forcing yourself to do the cool down during your next few sessions may help. It's worth a try. I also think that if you loathe exercise, it's best to start at a slow pace. If you push yourself too hard, you will hate it. The best thing is to develop the habit of exercise. Do it at least 4 times a week. Later on, consider pushing yourself-- but only after you no longer hate the whole idea. Just weights and > flooor exersices? You can get results without cardio-- but it's best to do both! Cardio burns calories NOW. Weights and floor exercises burns a few calories now, and more after you build muscles. (Plus the muscles look good.)
