Hi ,

I admit it was pretty stupid of me to start an extra supplement then double all

the others all at once.

Ofcourse now I have no clue which one is making her hyper. What I should do is

scale back to where we

were before then just add the single 500mg dose of vitamin C and watch her for a

few weeks. Then I should

increase the dose of the other meds one at a time. However, despite the fact

that she is hyper, she is

also pooping finally so I am afraid to mess with anything right now.

I think I will send Alycia over to visit Craig so they can talk to the faeries

and angels all night long

together. Alycia has been partying down since I doubled the doses!

You all seem to know a lot about everything that has to do with health...i

was wondering if any of you knew what kind of vitamins to take or foods to

eat to lessen hair loss. When i wash my hair, lots of it comes out...its

kinda gross. thanks guys...

Hey ricki...

Ya, and that goes with the dieting and too little fat or carbs or

vitmins/minerals.

Get some 'hair skin and nails' from your local vitmin shop. it is

THE best. It has a good nutrient mix for good health as well. If

you find tht the b vitamins make you hungry let me know and I'll dig

up the name of a specific amino acid that will help. Stress will

make your hair fall out too.

Hey - e-mial me at this address would you? amdvdhjr@...

I like to keep tabs on you if you don't post in a while :-) And my

other e-mial was de activated and i lost all my addresses and such.

Hair loss can be a symptom for many things. It could range from male

pattern baldness (which affect a small number of women) to some really

horrible diseases. Occasionally, it's due to dietary deficiencies-- or

vitamin overdoses. The best thing to do is consult your physician.

If it's male pattern baldness, your physician will probably suggest

minoxidil (the topical baldness cure). If it's something horrible, it's best

for your doctor to figure that out.

Sometimes, the hair loss is just temporary and due to stress. I lost hair

rapidly when I moved once. It stopped after about 2 months, and I was fine.

(Of course, I started out with LOTS of hair, and ended up with a medium

amount of hair. I sort of figured a doctor would look my hair and then at

me like I had a hole in my head if I complained of hair loss-- but the

bathroom drain was just crammed full of hair!!! Later, the hair grew back,

and I had really thick hair again.)

Here is a list of some things that may help:...San

Essential Fatty Acids found in Flaxseed Oil, EPA, primrose oil, or

fish oil are supportive of hair texture and prevents dryness.

General nutrition and vitamin deficiencies that increase hair loss

and limit hair growth may be improved with an excellent multivitamin

accompanied with iron.

Keratin production for healthy hair is improved with MSM

(methylsulfonylmethane), topical and internal applications, with the

beneficial side affects of better skin and when taken internally to

reduce joint pain associated with various forms of arthritis.

B complex vitamins are essential for healthy hair growth and stress

reduction.

Vitamin E d-alpha-tocopherol increases oxygen uptake, which improves

blood circulation to the scalp improving health and growth of hair.

Zinc stimulates hair growth by enhancing immune function, which are

best absorbed in a lozenge.

Various amino acids support hair growth and stop hair from falling

out such as L-methionine.

i started taking a multi - vitamin and i think it is helpin me feel better - a little less confusion and a little more energy ....

Karin,

Not that I will tell this to a doctor, but when I had my babies, I knew I would get an auto-immune disorder because of how my body reacts to the foreign object during pregnancy. That foreign object being the baby! I have an extreme reaction to the baby and believe several miscarriages were “my body’s fault”. Though I really thought it would be Lupus or something.

So glad to meet someone else who is learning to listen to her body and use alternative treatments! I am on Sepia right now for something I would have normally gone to a doc for (gynecological problem) that would have meant antibiotics then yeast infection from that, then anti-b’s again.. I have gotten into these cycles since I was 15.

It would take MONTHS to stop the cycle. Now it’s taken just days to rid the problem.

I am also finding myself healing much much slower and I suppose that’s why this last cold took so long to go away. I have been working on changing that by increasing immune boosters to my diet and supplements like mushrooms, vitamin c, etc..

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better.Have a nice day everyone.
