Guest guest
Well you got that sort of right, the Cytomel will help with the hypo symptoms all the way up to two weeks prior to your scan and RAI. Then you have to stop that too. Yes I suffered terribly nine weeks hypo, then after the RAI, and because of this group, I contacted my doctor and told him I wanted Cytomel to help with this hyponess, he agreed. Now that I see a Endocrinologist, I found out I could have been on Cytomel all the way up until two weeks before my scan and RAI and my hypo symptoms would have been a lot shorter, not necessarily lighter, just less time. So instead of six weeks no synthroid and major hypo symptoms I only have to have two weeks or less of major hypo symptoms. I'm planning on no synthroid for the six weeks prior to my next scan and going on cytomel for a month and then off for the two weeks prior to my next scan! Ticks you off doesn't it, that no one (medically related to your case) bothered to tell you, that you didn't have to suffer so much! You understood perfectly...
