Guest guest
Hi and Crew - ouch - ouch I once fell asleep on a heating pad too and really got burned. we don't move as much when asleep, nor do we often have full feeling - but we burn easy. but i sure make sure i'm wide awake and limit the heating pad. hope you recover quickly. hug, LynnBK 's tip: < here's a tip: never ever use a heating pad on an incision less than 2 months old. i slept on one, on high, for over 8 hrs, woke up to a flaming red incision. had INTENSE pain for a week, but no obvious infection. was on pain med, then out of the blue incision starts " leaking " , dr says its a hole and is spinal fluid, shud close soon. i start throwing up, high fever for days. now i do have an infection from the whole incident and am on anti biotics which are making me sick also. basically, had i not burned myself, id be doing great right now. so this is why i been absent from the list this week. >
