You got it right, so many with chiari have memory problems so to help

everyone remember who was who and had what we started with the signature line

about two years ago. Especially for the mothers and caregivers of

children...it was hard to remember who went with what child...so I started

off always signing Haydee (Nana to , etc etc.....)

It also made it easier when a new person joins they can read the

signature lines and see who they can relate to the best or others can say

..... " You have a child you need to talk to Haydee, Nana to ... "

for example.

After reading them so many times they tend to stick in your memory a

little better....

response.....you learn something new everyday.......can I share this response

with the chiari e-groups.......so they will know I received the answer from

for me its not confidential if someone sees and wants to ask a q great

if they happen to be from new zealand wonderful

and if they are looking for someone in nz for treatment or want my

opinion of my nsg i can give it

and er as for the decision

well it helps ppl if they are looking for someone to ask why i decided

heck i like looking at what others am

1 cos i am nosey

2 cos it sometimes makes me feel better i aint that bad

3 so i can send positive vibes to those who are worse off

and 4 its interesting seeing what ppl have in common

the reason i do it is so that everyone knows that i don't have a chiari dx but

cervical stenosis, which causes many of the same symptoms ( & may turn out to be

associated with some chiari's like spina bifida)

it's also to let everyone know what OTHER 'misdiagnoses' i was given before i

got what i think is the dx which is the root cause of most all of my sx. that

helps others compare their own symptoms, previous dx's with what i'm saying.

it also helps if we know if someone has had surgery or not & what doctor did the

surgery & how long ago.

just my 2¢.

dx of cervical stenosis, POTS, peripheral neuropathy, cervical vertigo,

peripheral pathology in ears, swollen optic nerves, etc. Surgery 4/24 with Dr.

Heffez.
