To all of us who are not big losers

Hi to all of you--I am reading about so many of us who are not just shedding the weight like we want to. I, like you, was quite discouraged 2 weeks ago. But then I dropped 2 pounds. I inch up a little, then down, but don't you think it is still worth it? I feel so much better about what I am eating and how I am eating healthier. Yesterday I ate whenever I felt hungry and knew it was ok because it was on the "list." Before I would have gone for cookies --not 1 or 2, but 6 or 7. I had no self-control. I still can't keep junk food around without wanting it so I am not buying it. I did make some brownies for my 17 year old son and some "puppy chow" (cereal with peanut butter, melted choc. chips and coated with powdered sugar) for him and tasted it. But I don't fixate on eating it.The doctor says in his book that phase 2 weight loss is a slow process, one or two pounds a week. I had a couple weeks with no loss at all, but I am still on target for my June goal of 160.I think we need to put our weight gain in perspective--it did't come on in a couple weeks, so it can't go off in a couple weeks. Don't give up! Don't get too down on yourself! Keep venting here wher you have supportive readers. And celebrate your successes here too. Thanks to those of you who cheered for me this week! Next week I may be whining again! But that is what we are here for.Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. No No!!! 1,000 calories a day is MUCH too low. Please think about this.

Research and rethink. An old calorie counter....

Please don't just focus on what you eat. You need to exercise, too.
