Hi Sharon!

I'm here. Chuck hasn't been on the computer much but I read the posts every day. He has been having a lot of phlegm in his throat. We asked the druggist what to take and he said Mucinex. Well it did help BUT he got dizzy and didn't feel well from it so we are back to square one. Any suggestions?

I have been busy crocheting an afghan for Chuck's neurologist and just finished yesterday. You can always email me at moochie1@... if you get lonely. I spend quite a bit of time on here because of being cofounder of the breast cancer group.

Hugs

Hi nne (and Chuck):Any allergies or illnesses to explain the phlegm in his throat? Has Chuck been having any swallowing problems? Exactly what is going on with is throat? I also have throat problems (MS associated) and I feel like I can't clear my throat, my "voice" hurts, if I talk loud then my head hurts.... I've had times when I feel like I can't swallow. Because of that I always carry a bottle of water with me. Taking a drink of water will trick your brain into triggering the swallow reflex How long does it take you to make an afghan? *Phew* I can finally email!!

I've been battling both the onset of the massive spam emails I have been getting and the *new* DSL service, now magically changed back into the old cable service. Truth is, verizon DSL is worse then AOL dialup!!! I'd be on for an hour, then off for about 4, then on for 20 mins, then off...you get the picture. And Yes, I know to reset the modem, the router, reboot...nada. So yesterday the cable guy (Larry?) came and fissed it...YeeHaw!!

Other then that, we're Ok, got 12 more chicks yesterday, they're already a month old and mostly feathered out and some are going to be really pretty!

Weather has been unseasonably glorious! I'm really enjoying it! Cool enough so no bugs and I can leave doors and windows open, warm enough that I *CAN* leave doors and windows open!

I'm trying 4.0 of LDN in the a.m, having some minor aches but nothing I can't handle, I like the extra energy, also Dr' finally got me some samples of Provigil, twixt the two I'm doing ok!

I've also been writing in the blog, have a huge post I will write later today, some interesting goings on in the dream world.

Hugs to ALL y'all (Lou it is Awesome to see you posting again BTW...)

Peace and Blessings

Dear Sharon,

I am so glad you got your Lyrica approved and are feeling better.

I am still reading daily. I was beginning to wonder if maybe I was bouncing as things were so slow.

I have been busy trying to get Sheri and her boys set up here in my house. She left her husband.

I am also trying to get things set up to start work on the new house. However I have decided to stop worring about that house until I am more able to do so by not trying to do so much at once.

This is the first business day also and I have to get some things done with this also.

It is good that I am in a good place with my MS at this time.

You are all in my prayers.

HAPPINESS and BUTTERFLIES

Hi Sharon,

Chuck is on his computer so I will let him answer the questions. He can explain better than me.

It usually takes me about 2 weeks to do an afghan. Depending on which pattern I use. I can only do 3 different patterns due to my chemo brain. I learned all of these way befor my breast cancer so I am ok with them.

Hugs

ROFL! You were probably invited and forgot. <eg> I'm hiding in my dinring room right now. Where are you hiding? Maybe I should try your hiding spot. My kids keep finding me. LOL I'm typing to you and reading email and going over a website. In a bit, I'm headi g to the living room to work on that cross-stitch more. Every time I pick it up, I think you you telling me to put it down. LOL I'm feeling pretty good, overall. The pain and burning cold in my right arm has finally subsided. Thank goodness! I'm awake and feeling alert and thinking. That's always good! :o) And a nice surprise when it happens. LOL It's chilly in the house right now, but that will change. I expect the temps to get at least close to 70º

today. It's been warmer here! It's suppose to cool off, but I bet it'll warm again just in time for you next visit! (Jenna wants her candy bag back and wants to call you about it rofl). Which dog? They're all still stupid and a pain and are probably eating someone's goat right now. Challis Sharon Marsden wrote: Okay,

I think you should cancel the appointment for your tooth! If we're lucky, just when you're up here for Thanksgiving, the pain will kick in and you'll be too miserable to do anything! Then, when you get back to the Valley, you'll get to wait for the next appointment available! Awesome plan! And I promise the list that I'll take lots of pictures of my Mother, writhing in pain, and post them on the list's site! <weg> Challis ~Who knows any appointment her Mother makes has at least an 85% chance of being canceled or rescheduled only to be canceled later. lol Sharon Marsden wrote: I'm going to reply to my own email here. (don't laugh!) I haven't been writing on the group either and I apologize for that. I've been reading every day, however. I had company Oct. 21 and 22. Lynn (lynn) and her daughter, Patience. I really enjoyed meeting them both. Lynn was my rock when I was in Alaska that winter--writing all the time and sending monthly "care packages" of raspberry tea and other goodies. On this visit Lynn brought me some of her new product line. Wonderful stuff! The Body Butter and the Spearmint Lotion is great but my favorite is the 5 Herb Balm. Then the week after our visit my Trigeminal

Neuralgia started acting up worse than usual. I spent that Thursday and Friday in bed and on the phone trying to get things straightened out with my insurance so I could get the Lyrica my neuro ordered. My neuro says Lyrica is really the best for nerve pain. The insurance denied because it's a prior authorization drug so the neuro was working with the insurance to get it approved. In the meantime I called my primary care doc to see if they had any samples of the drug and they did. So my son drove out to their office to pick it up. It wasn't the full strength that the neuro ordered but I had some to take! I started in on Friday the 27th and by the next day I could see a difference in the pain level. Now the full strength of 75 mg. twice a day has been approved by my insurance and I've been on it for 5 days. I'm supposed to see the neuro in 4 to 6 weeks to evaluate the effectiveness and probably increase the dose.

That, of course, means it must be submitted AGAIN to the insurance for authorization. At the same time I've weaned down on my Neurontin (per the neuro) from 3200 mg. a day to 600 mg. a day. The weather is cooler here now in the Arizona Desert. It had been in the 70s and 80s but the past few days back up to 91. We went to visit Challis on Sunday the 5th and came home Tuesday night. It was wonderful! I had all 8 of my grandkids together under one roof!!! The grandkids are ages 3 to 19. We had good food and good company. We also looked around at property and found one place we really like. I want to get out of this desert so I can feel better. I did feel better at Challis' house and could move better for the most part. We want to buy something this winter but won't be able to move until next spring. We will go back to Challis' house for Thanksgiving. The weather is much cooler

where she lives and it felt soooo good.I'm supposed to have a tooth pulled at the oral surgeon next Wednesday but I think I will cancel the appt. It's not hurting. It hasn't hurt but the problem is the tooth is broken and not repairable. I would like to wait until after the Jan 1st because I haven't met my deductible yet this year and I have other work that needs to be done but it's late in the year now to try to get it all done. Besides, I'm looking for a reason to cancel the appt. :)Oh and the dogs are fine. All 6 of them went with us to Challis' house. My hiding spot won't help you Challis, believe me. You might be able to

hide from your own kids but not your neices and nephew who live in this

house. These grandkids keep finding me. If I lock my door they can

open it with their fingernails and do--to check and see if I'm

okay....they say. I tell them I " m hiding from them. They laugh because

their Gramma certainly couldn't MEAN that.

About the candy, folks? Well when we packed up to leave Challis' house

Jenna's bag of Halloween Candy was mistakenly packed. Auntie

thought it belonged to her kids. LOL So, I need to mail Jenna's candy

to her. My postal scale isn't working though. I'm hoping it's the

battery and not the fact that I spilled a glass of water in it.

Sharon/aka Challis' mom

and seek and no one invited me!
