I had screwd up periods for over a year when I went off of the birth control

pill.

It might take your system awhile to adjust.

My gf had her period this past week AND we had no pain so we could have

intercourse. Is there a hormone that is released or supressed to maybe help

her pain while she is menstruating?

Hey -

I usually take the last active pill on Saturday, and start bleeding on

Tuesday. I've been on regular birth control for 4 years. I agree

that it might take a few cycles for your body to adjust

I used to start bleeding anytime between Tuesday and

Thursday. Probably no need to be concerned, as you

said!

So does it still last a whole week? Even after you start the active pills

back up?

I guess I was just expecting to bleed like a stuck pig after this long. I

am probably painicking over nothing. Its Thursday now and I'm still not

bleeding. I'll call my doctor if I dont have my period by tommorrow.

My experience has been that it lasts up to 5-6 days,

so yes, sometimes it lasts even after I begin the

active pills again.

Mine usually lasts about 5-6 days (I've always had heavy periods)

usually Tues - Sunday (and I'll take the first of the actives on that

Sunday)
