What saddens me so is that in addition to the physical effects of the MS itself, that this is likely a result of those very physical changes, and therefore, likely to happen to so many. No one ever told me about this as one of the "multiple surprises" of MS when I was diagnosed. I have been fortunate, so far, but my friend, E. has many episodes of what she calls "crocodile tears!"
