We started last February with Metadate and was okay with that for a few months. It was the first medication he had ever been on. However, after this summer it was not working anymore. We were then told to try abilify...he was initially given 2MLs daily and then was increased 2 weeks ago to 4MLS daily. He become a different child FOR THE WORSE. He is no longer focused, is more than ever repeating videos, "yells out" more and louder inappropriate sounds and has gotten into everything that gets him into trouble. He is more aggressive and defiant than ever. We are going back to the doctor tomorrow because I am recovering from surgery and at my wits ends. AND yes, I am the mom who wrote earlier about the pool/neighbor incident and the police... Can anyone pass on any good or bad experiences with meds? I know each of our children is different and they all react different to everything...I was just wanting to hear what is out there. Thanks. RMALWAYS sunny in Miami... Yahoo!
