I am 75 years old, trying to control type 2 diabetics as well as

maintain my weight, ( started at 179). Both numbers slowly going up

thru the years. Doctor says numbers gotta stop going up or I gotta

start taking expensive drugs and weight watchers.

Started SBD a month ago, am into phase 2 now, have dropped 9 pounds,

blood sugar has gone from 140 / 150 in morning to 110- 120 so

both parts are working.

Was on big list but wanted something quieter.Trying to select items I'll

be using to maintain. In addition wife and I eat out frequently and

trying to figure how to handle that.

Went out two nights ago,( my first external test) had wine, chicken,

one fork of spaghetti, one piece of bread, great salad with too much

oil, and three bites of chocolate dessert. Weight was up 1 1/2 lbs next

morning, ate a phase one bfst/lunch/dinner next day and weight went

back to normal.

So will see where its at tomorrow.

So now you know all I know...

Congrats to you for your success. That's great about blood chemistry.

Let us know how you are doing.

Hello Tom.

I am new here myself, I am 60 and find the weight goes on real fast

and comes off real slow! I am glad to hear your blood work was good.

I go in next month and I average 200+ on chol and trig.I will really

be pleased if this helps that. I don't want to go on meds. High

Cholesterol runs in my family. Hang in there,we all struggle

together. Have a great day.

Welcome to you, Louise. I think you will love the freedom of SBD.

New To List

Hi...new to list here.

My name is Louise and I live in Houston, TX.

I was diagnosed last week with Lupus and Metabolic Syndrome and I also have Grave's and Hashimoto's Disease, both thyroid related.

I started on the SBD because of my doctor's recommendation. I joined the online group...it is cheaper than weight watchers actually. They had 6 weeks for $39.98 so I went for it.

I have over 100 pounds to lose so it will be a while before I make it to Stage 3. I have just started #1 and it seems to be a very easy diet to follow.

Men SKIP NEXT PARAGRAPH:

I was thrilled to find my bra fit better...after just a few days!!

Men RETURN

:-)

Seriously, it is a little thing but a big thing if you know what I mean. I know I will lose quickly in comparison to those with a lot less weight to lose but little things like a bra fitting better is a big deal!!!

I am looking forward to being a part of the group and I thank you for letting me be a part of it.

God's richest blessings,

Louise
