My husband pointed out that it could be because her "juice" is Celestial Seasonings herbal tea. Does he get tea or could there be some food that is staining? Only other thought would be that black spots sounds like pre-cavities to me. . . 's teeth which had cavities had black spots.--D
Guest guest
D- doesn't get tea...yet his teeth have yellowed on the diet. All he drinks is a small glass of water with each meal and half a diet soda each day if he is active. It seems more like has a constant film on his teeth...it really doesn't look like cavities that are forming. I wonder if he is missing some mineral? Thanks, RE: teeth doesn't have black spots. . . but I've been noticing that her teeth are getting very yellow. Guest guest
Kathy, takes one chewable Bugs Bunny Complete multivitamin every morning. I'm wondering if it has too much iron in it. It says that it provides 100% of iron based on a 2000 calorie diet. gets less than 1400 calories. Other than black spots, are there any other side effects with too much iron? Now I'm worried about potassium! It never occured to me that might not be getting enough...but he has problems sometimes with his legs cramping. His neurologist has suggested that perhaps it is growing pains...but hasn't been growing in quite a while. Re: teeth > , > Sounds like iron build up to me. Guest guest
, also takes BB complete. Hard, black stools come with too much iron (and stomach cramps). From what I understand, the black spots on the teeth are NOT an indication of too much iron, just a harmless buildup caused by the iron. Just a thought that might help: For Christmas, I got my kids new toothbrushes for Christmas. It is kinda like an Oral-B (you know, with the round head that circulates very fast), but you can get it at Walmart for about $5. It is battery operated. The kids love them & I really feel like I can get to more places than with the regular toothbrush. I had ask my dental hygenist (sp?) about an Oral-B because I didn't feel I was getting 's teeth clean enough (always a fight) & she recommended these $5 ones. They work great. I'd also recommending giving the vitamin before a meal, so the food can help clean the iron off. Guest guest
, also takes BB complete. Guest guest
Is he taking a floride supplement. Too much floride can do the same thing. We wondered about that too, he doesn't, however the water where we used to live a year ago had fluoride in it. Elaine
