I just LOVE this rich-text option for when you post from yahoo. I has been a life saver for me...smile*

I am deeply involved in a couple groups where I am an owner and moderator in the other. When my brother ny died from suicide (2/01)

I've felt it extremely important to put all my efforts into suicide support & prevention. So I'm glad it was brought up in in the posts about depression. I myself know of 2 people who's brothers died because they couldn't handle their MS issues.

I felt so strongly about it that I had shifted gears from medical nursing to psyche. I had been accepted to Immaculata Univ.(PA) with my major being psych/social & was given schlorship (60%) with grants picking up the rest.

The program was excellerated so I'd have gotten my masters in 18 months. I was so proud of myself and being able to show my girls that even old Moms can go back to school at 42!!

My goal was to help so others didn't have to suffer like my family did. That high only lasted all of 2 semesters when my cognative issues nixed that dream for me. The information is still in my brain but am not able to stay on task to learn like I used too. Well, at least I tried right?

Tomorrow afternoon I have an appointment to see my primary dr. for a general exam (ladies)..sorry guys and I plan on asking her to give me a RX for Cymbalta 60 mgs for me to get started on. For the leg spasms and also for the SSRI's that it has. I have been stuck in my dark hole for way too long and need to get some better to being a mom.

My daughter is a senior in high school and the colleges are already calling. I need to be in a place that I can enjoy all changes that she and I are going thru. This should be a fun time for my daughter and me. Not like I am feeling now??

Sharon, sorry I almost forgot the reply to your question about vision? I have had so many hits to my eyes to optic nerves are "pale" from the attacks, colors are off, vision looks like when you pull off your sweater and look thru...(scatoma) I think it's called.

I don't dare drive except when I absolutely have too. Steroids help for the nystagmus but I've had so much steroids over the years (25+) now I worry about my bones and osteoperosis

Sorry this got so long but I guess I needed it...smile*

Many Hugs

Terri

Quivering eyes. Like the eye balls themselves or more like the area around? Like the lower lids and such? Ah, for a Guide to Conveying Thoughts. Is there such a book, even a small pamphlet? LOL Mine do something like this. Really a freaky feeling. I once knew a girl or a boy (who can remember), who could make their eyes move side to side very fast, or was it their lids, or was it more than one person and trick I'm remembering? LOL I think of them every time that happens. Whomever it may be. LOL It does seem said he noticed it once, so it's not just a *feeling*. <shrug> My eyes go wonky. It's been a little while now since I had that feeling of something blocking my view (right eye, inside corner, but not completely blocked out). I have noticed a fair bit of... blurring

maybe? Hard to say just what it is. But that one eye is a particular problem, and then it's gone to both eyes. Distorted vision. Almost like when that sleepy film gets in your eyes and you have to clear it? But it's not that sleepy film. And I cock my head and I blink. I don't rub so much, not when I think about it, because it makes it worse. And touching my eyes will set it off. <shrug again> My eyes are perfect. 20/20 and all tests come out great. Two eyes docs, with one doing even more testing. All is well. LOL This Neuro I saw... he talked of my eyes and said "and you know..." with MS, the eye docs would see it. Ayup. wrote: Sharon, I get color distortion, my eyes cross, or quiver and sometimes it seems like I'm looking through a tunnel, with the rounded parts blurred. But, they say there's nothing wrong with my eyes. (I do wear contacts, but my vision hasn't changed.) And it comes and goes. Haven't had a problem in several months. Trista double vision? I've never had double vision but I know some here have (like Bill). Is it like true double vision with 2 of everything? The past two mornings I have had something happen, but I don't know what it is. It's kind of like my eyes are crossing so I blink and blink and finally everything straightens

out. What is that? Is that a type of double vision? Sharon Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time..

Technically, "double vision" is caused by strabismus or "lazy eye." I know; I have it.

Inability to focus properly or to see things clearly is another matter, and is more com

mon in MS; I do not have it unless I am having an episode in which case they give me

a cortico-steroid, often my favorite, the one that sounds like the name of a dinosaur,

and begins with "D"--word-retrieval problem here, sorry. Love to you all, n

Sure, the eye docs would see it, mmmhhhmmm. NOT! I have everything you've described. I'm not sure if you can actually see my eyes moving. It feels like Nystagmus is described, but I've never really asked anyone to look when it was happening. trista

The Dr. gave me a kenalog shot today and he said that decaron or

kenalog act like a long acting solumedrol. He gave it to me for my

allg but he said I may see some improvements in my other problems

due to the long acting steroid affect.
