Guest guest
i found the infamous crunch toons at safeway today. i just opened them. i bought plain and nacho cheese. needless to say, i AM NOT impressed with either of them. the plain taste like salted potato. the nacho cheese, well, left much to be desired to me. namely a quick drink and something else to eat to replace the taste in my mouth. oh well, have to keep trying new things in order to find what i do like. right? alissa
Guest guest
Hi , My 2 1/2-yo CD son has been enjoying those three flavors of Crunch Toons for the last year and has not had any problems with them. Unfortunately, the company is no longer making them as of June of this year. It kinda bummed me out, because they are a great alternative to Goldfish in a church nursery or similar environment where Goldfish seem to be the snack of choice. If you can still find some around, I'd snatch them up, if you like them. I've recently found a few bags here and there in a few grocery or drug stores. Other than that, you may want to check places like Big Lots or similar stores that have overrun items. You can buy them in larger bags (6 oz.) and choose the flavor you want that way, in case you need to stay away from the cheese flavored ones that contain casein. Take care, Donna from Atlanta (a new member here) > Can you someone please tell me if Crunchtoons (the case I ordered > from Gluten solutions) is 100% GF? It comes with 3 flavors (nacho, > cheese and original) I called gluten solutions and they said they > are all GF, but my daughter had some today and had horrible diarrea > an hour later. UGG! Maybe it was something else or swalling too > much pool water, but I would love to hear from anyone on this. > > Thanks so much, > > > > All 3 of those flavors do not contain gluten. Although I believe that one of the flavors has casein in it, in case your daughter may be GFCF. Sometimes it is tough to tell, b/c the instant our kids have a spell like that... you wonder... is there gluten somewhere? And, I'm sure in a lot of cases, most of you parents can tell if it is a " gluten " incident. Could she have gotten something else containing gluten while at the pool? A snack from a friend trying to be nice & share? Hope she feels better! ~Melonie
