Are there any pictures comparing good to bad? , Every uterus has one or two points where it meets the fallopian tube inlets. Because they are pointy, they are called " cornua " which is Latin for " horns. " In a normal uterus, the horns are merely the two points of the base of an inverted triangle, but in a divided uterus, the horns appear long and skinny. Some kinds of müllerian anomalies have only one horn per uterus. Here is a normal uterus:http://www.wegrokit.com/uterineanomalies/gallery/normhsg.jpg And here is a deeply septate one (mine, in fact): http://www.wegrokit.com/uterineanomalies/gallery/supresurghsg.jpg The part that looks like a pair of goat's horns are what we are referring to as " horns " : the double cavities that normally should be united as one. Here is a one-horned (unicornuate) uterus: http://www.wegrokit.com/uterineanomalies/gallery/uuhsg.jpg The photos I showed you are just xrays of the uterine cavities (which show up as white) I collected other kinds of images. Here is a page with all kinds of visual references: http://www.wegrokit.com/uterineanomalies/gallery.htm HTH. Beth
