Guest guest
Yes, you can use the dried beans. I prefer to use canned (not in a sauce, and preferably low in sodium) since I don't have the time to soak, etc. > Hi, > I'm a newbie to the group. Guest guest
Hello, Sally and Tari-- Beans are easy to cook from dry. Set them to soak before you go to bed at night. Drain and rinse them in the morning. Put them in a pot, cover them with water, bring them to a boil while you're getting ready for work. Turn them off. Let them sit there...they will be cooked or almost cooked when you get home from work. Lots of the canned beans have sugars added to them so be sure to rinse them if you use them. I find them cheapest at Aldi's and Save- A-Lot. Canned ones are fairly expensive IF you purchase them at a regular grocery store. We eat lots of beans here. Have a great day on the Beach!
