Hey, I had a similar chart like yours right after my septoplasty where the

temp went up so far right after my menses. It is expected if you just got off

from estrogens according to the book " Taking charge of your fertility " . So,

now my 2nd cycle looks normal. I just joined Fertility Friend online and it s

really neat!

My chart isn't looking too bad this month, is it?

Okay, I looked, and I think you can chill for a bit. If you

ovulated, your BBT will rise tomorrow or the next day.

Once I got a false positive on an OPK and had the IUI 6 days early.

This sometimes happens with women who have PCOS (I have it). In

fact, I am unusal, because PCOS sufferers usually have such high LH

that OPKs always look positive.

Even in a non-PCOS woman, a positive OPK is not a guarantee, but

judging from your cervical fluid, the lower BBTs surrounding the IUI,

and the positive OPK, your timing was in the ballpark.

Is your RE doing bloodwork and ultrasound monitoring? This will tell

you a whole lot more for sure than a chart will. He would be looking

for a follicle of appropriate size, estradiol (E2) levels of

appropriate magnitude for a mature follicle and . . . well, that's

about it. :-) On the day of the IUI, an ultrasound would ideally

show a preovulatory follicle greater than 20 mm. in size, or

possibly even a collapsed, irregulular or partially refilled one,

meaning that you have just ovulated.

BTW, sometimes a woman can actually have a one or two day dip in

temperature after ovulation because of a spike in E2 levels. This

should not go on for very long, though. Also, some women never do

get much of a rise. This is why US monitoring and bloodwork are so

handy when you're doing IUI.

One more thing. Just for kicks, I entered my June 22 cycle (when I

last got pregnant) into Fertility Friend, and it said that I ovulated

2 days after my IUI, based on my delayed BBT rise. It's just a

dumb 'puter . . . what does it really know? I felt the egg release 8

hours after the IUI, and a pregnancy was the result. So hang in

there.

Not yet, and thanks for asking. Sunday or Monday, I think. I posted

my FF chart in a previous reply, if you are curious. Got another

negative OPK today, but I can feel my left ovary about to pop. Won;t

be long, now.

I still don't trust how my body is working after this miscarriage.
