Guest guest
Okay, so yesterday I felt pretty sick (needless to say, after consuming 10 cookies) and was way too full for dinner. However, I worked late and came home in need of real food. I was more than full from the cookies, but I was craving some nutrition, lol. So I had 3 squares of thin crust sausage/veg. pizza. I went to bed w/a little tummy ache but all was well. This morning I woke up full from cookies and pizza, but again I wanted some real food! The diet police in my head said " You can't eat breakfast - that's too many calories " and " Throw away the cookies so they aren't around to binge on " . But my nutritional ally said " You'll feel better if you eat a nice balanced meal " , and the IE voice said " You can learn to enjoy those cookies in moderation, and learning is a process - it has ups and downs " . So, I listened to my nutritional ally and had a lovely breakfast of raisin bran with soymilk, banana, and a hearty slice of whole wheat toast with almond butter. I feel a little more full than I would like, but I feel a lot better having started my day off with a nutritious breakfast. Oh yeah, and I'm not throwing away the cookies. Probably I'll have some after lunch..if I binge on them, I'm making more - that's the only way to honestly overcome my last chance eating (making my body and mind understand that there will always be another opportunity to eat my cookies). It's so good to have a place I can write my IE thoughts and get the feedback of others. Thanks again for letting me share my experience here. Guest guest
Thank you for demonstrating how IE is working for you. I love that you are going to make more cookies if you eat the ones you have, and you are right that is the only way to prove to yourself/ourselves that we are not depriving us of it. Take care,Sylvie Okay, so yesterday I felt pretty sick (needless to say, after consuming 10 cookies) and was way too full for dinner. However, I worked late and came home in need of real food.
