I thought the vegetable juice was V8, so I didn't look at the contents, but carrots are ok in the new book. Tomato juice is the other option. It takes a while to get over the orange juice addiction, at least it did me! Now I don't think about it much. I have water. Also, you can have Swiss Miss no added sugar hot chocolate, if you want something warm. It has added calcium too. I have it for a snack in the afternoon to tied me over until dinner with a handful of nuts. Good luck.Deb

Hi,

I'm brand new to this list and the diet; today was day one of Phase 1! Quick question: I found two veggie juices; one plain tomato, and one a combo including beets and carrots. Both have 4gm carbs per serving. Can I still have the one with carrot juice included? I plan to have a small glass every morning as I cannot get over my addiciton to orange juice each morning with plain water. (Don't drink coffe or tea)

Thanks. I thought carrots were only ok in phase 2. Does V8 have carrot in it? I picked up an organic version of vegetable juice in the health food store. And I was wrong; it has 11gm carb per serving.

I drank V8 juice every day in Phase 1 and did fine. I lost 12

pounds in 2 weeks.
