Guest guest
Well... Since I have been intuitively eating, I have discovered that some of the things I *thought* I loved to eat are actually things I don't like. They include: Fig Newtons (taste like cardboard. I'm going to try the organic ones and see if they're better) Costco pizza Many candy bars French fries from any fast food except for McD's and In N Out. Bagels (they still taste good, but they upset my stomach) Hot dogs (the first 2 bites are great) Cake (unless homemade) Gingerbread (unless homemade) There are also lots of things I thought I didn't like that I actually do! These include: Fish Apples Eggs Organic pepperoni pizza from Round Table What about you? What's on your list?
Guest guest
Doughnut. I really thought I loved doughnuts. But, they really don't taste good. Now, plum jam on whole wheat toast is delicious. > > Well... > > Since I have been intuitively eating, I have discovered that some of > the things I *thought* I loved to eat are actually things I don't > like. Guest guest
I always liked tuna salad sandwiches and only had them when my wife was out because she hates the smell. I tried to make them healthy with fake mayo and dill pickles. The first week of doing intuitive eating I made tuna salad with real mayo and sweet pickle relish on wheat toast with jalapeno jack cheese. It was the best thing I've ever tasted. I was hungry when I started and satisfied after eating 2/3 of the sandwich. I remember thinking that I could eat like this for the rest of my life. Guest guest
I thought I liked: Vegatarian cheese Whole wheat tortillas Skinny Cow ice cream sandwhiches Steamed vegatables Jars and jars of Reduced Fat Jif Desserts sweetened only with artificial sweeteners Protein powder mixed into shakes and oatmeal Fat free brownies I felt moral superiority for eating this crappy things. I actually had convinced myself that these things tasted good. I guess you will eat anyting when you are starving. They taste terrible though, and they are completely unsatisfying in any way, shape or form. I found that I do like: High fiber cereal Fruit Whole wheat bread...ok bread of any kind All sorts of soups Full fat brownies Low fat white flour tortillas Vegatables stir fried in sesame or olive oil > > Well... > > Since I have been intuitively eating, I have discovered that some of > the things I *thought* I loved to eat are actually things I don't > like. Guest guest
Amy, I bought these last night. Are you saying they aren't good? They were very expensive but I thought I would try them and see if they would satisfy my ice cream craving when I have it. It doesn't happen very often but when it does I thought this would be the cure. Guest guest
Michele, I don't like them, but we all have different tastes so it's ok if you do. I don't really like ice cream much at all come to think about it. I ate the skinny cow sandwhiches because they were one of the " diet " desserts that I would allow for myself. There are definitely tons of people who rave about how good skinny cow ice cream sandwhiches are. However, many of the people I know, who like them, only eat them because they don't allow themselves what they really want...ben and jerrys or hagen daas...they eat them because of diet mentality and not because skinny cow is the best tasting, most nutritious ice cream sandwhich ever made. Let me know what you think after trying them. :-) Amy > > Skinny Cow ice cream sandwhiches > > > > Recent Activity > > 32 > New Members > > 1 > New Links > > Visit Your Group >
