Guest guest
Hi Everyone, We had our 35 week ultrasound yesterday and found out is not growing well anymore. She had only gained 300g (about 1/2 lb) in the past 2 wks. She is now in the 18th percentile for size by gestational age, which is considered " borderline small " . So they did a biophysical profile test (BPP), which she aced (8 out of 8 - that's my girl). So she is still healthy, but she's just running out of room. We will get on a monitor next Tuesday and do another BPP. Then we have another ultrasound and BPP the following Tuesday. Based on the results of either of those, I may have to have my c-section earlier than planned. I also have to monitor those kick counts like a hawk to detect any distress. But, so far so good. She's still very active. Right now we are just praying for her to make it to 5 pounds before she has to come out of the womb. I'm also trying to focus on the positive; at least we have made it this far, so she should be OK, shouldn't she? I am so scared. Ula EDD 9/16/01 (first baby), C-section 9/5/01 __________________________________________________
