Guest guest
, My hands are VERY hypermobile and my thumbs pretty much dislocate constantly. Just reaching for a drink my thumb comes out. I've worn braces for my thumb and wrist but they're leather and cost $85 each. Medicare will pay me back for 80% but I can't afford to purchase them in the first place. Because they are leather, they stretch out and only work for me for a month or so...it's too expensive to keep buying the braces and my thumbs won't stay " in " for anything! I'm going to try to delay the thumb surgery...let's just say that it's at the bottom of my surgery list. My hernias and knees getting cleaned out are at the top. Then there's still several more I could put before the thumbs...so I'm not really refusing the surgery because of your experiences, I'm just delaying it until I feel more comfortable about the surgery. Thanks for all your info though...you're right about learning from each others mistakes. Hope you're feeling better.... Love ya, Janet : )
