Guest guest
Hi Sheila, You have certainly eased my mind about our visit to New England. I am usually cautious but not too neurotic about travel precautions but good information is brilliant. Actually, I got a posting from Rich Perillo with an overview of chronic Lyme Disease which was good of him. As a genetic Celt you would have been bitten by midges in the early summer in Scotland. You might have been blotchy and itchy but not harbouring Lyme Disease. Cornwall is wonderful and not quite as populated by midges. My home city is Liverpool but we moved away 27 years ago for my husband's job as a Law professor. Liverpool is full of Celts _ of the Welsh and Irish variety mainly. My husband can actually boast that he was at school with MaCartney and Geoge on. (He was in the first year when they were in the last year.) Although my hair is auburnish and I have freckles my family background is European. About 150 years ago my great grandfathers moved out of Russia and Austia/Hungary. My grandparents did move during world war II to the Isle of Man which is certainly Celtic and with its own Gaelic language. Hope this is not too off-topic. It was good to hear from you. Yours, Judith
