Guest guest
Dear , If you have instructed groups to send you mail (either individual posts or digests) then groups shall indeed do this. This is true whether someone posts to the list using the POST feature on the website or if they post by sending mail to autism treatment . The method used for posting makes no difference whatsoever. There is NO manner in which someone can post ANYTHING and not have it sent to everyone who has instructed to send mail to them. All mailing from this list are, by definintion, mass mailings, or so it seems to me. If you don't want to receive mass mailings, you have various options to not get mail from this list. I personally do not get great glee from " test " emails, but am also aware that there are occassionally reasons someone might send them. I've done so myself. I'm not saying I think it is great. There are lots of posts that leave me bored or that are not really of interest to me. I delete them. It really is not of any concern to me. In this case it was ONE test post and was clearly marked as that. I'd also like to mention, FWIW, that this list has people with extremely varying range of computer skills. There is liable to always be a certain level of UNINTENDED " noise " just as a result of people trying to figure things out..... as well as people like me who are testing specific things (on purpose). best, Moria At 12:47 PM 12/29/2001 -0600, you wrote: >james e tipton wrote: > >I for one do not appreciate you mass posting in this manner in the >newsgroups. > >If you simply post to the newsgroup everyone that wants to can read it. > >Do not use my email address here for mass mailing! > >
