Guest guest
I am curious if anyone else has trouble using charcoal? I sometimes get an upset tummy after bbqing with charcoal. I wrote to the kingsford charcoal company. I recieved the following email back from the company: Thank you for taking the time to contact us about KINGSFORD Briquets. We appreciate your interest in our products. Both corn and wheat starches are used in this product, but we predominantly use cornstarch. In any case, the briquets burn at such a high temperature that the starch is burned, it does not transfer to the food. We do not make any food products that do not contain gluten. If I can be of further assistance to you, please contact me again. Again, thank you for contacting us. Sincerely, Terry Dittus Product Specialist Anybody else have troubles or have any comments on the subject?
Guest guest
Just an update for you all. I kept getting sick using charcoal, so I have now bought a small gas grill. Hopefully no more getting sick from summer bbq!! If anyone else has had any sort of reaction from charcoal I would still be interested in knowing that I am not crazy!! ha - > I am curious if anyone else has trouble using charcoal? Guest Jeremy E.
I am a very gluten sensitive person. I check and double check everything that I eat. On 6/30/18, I got a very upset stomach (gas & diarrhea) after eating hamburgers from a charcoal grill. Brand of briquettes: Kingsford.
