Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I, too was administered progesterone injections to prevent miscarriage so I would be extremely interested in knowing what you find out concerning the idea that mercury may be present in progesterone. Please let me know.Thank you, R.
Guest guest
I did not receive the progesterone during pregnancy, however I did receive the shot after I gave birth for birth control. I breastfed too. So I wonder what significance that might have. Carol G
Guest guest
Hi all: I also took Progesterone (vaginal inserts) during my pregnancies.........I would have never thought about this. Bonita
Guest guest
Bonita, I know there is Thimerosal in the RhoGAM I was given, but I am still waiting to hear back from someone more knowledgeable regarding progesterone. I was given weekly injections and they took blood as well to monitor the levels. You were given a suppository which yet another good question. Hopefully someone in the group will be able to confirm or deny these questions. It is compounded by my pharmacist in a soluable 'wax'-type preparation (which dissolves internally, releasing the hormone directly inside the body). It must be kept refrigerated, and therefore would not contain any preservatives, such as thimerisol. No sure about the IV (injection) form of Progesterone, though...
