Guest guest
Greetings! My name is Sue and I am starting South Beach Diet on Friday (January 2, 2004). Alittle bit about me! I need to lose 100 pounds because currently I weight 240. I have struggled with my weight since I was 12 years old, but lately and I guess with age (33 last May), my weight doesn't want to go anywhere anymore..lol..I am a married stay at home mom (currently looking for a job) to 4 beautiful although challenging children because 3 of them are special needs children. My first child is a 15 year old son with severe nonverbal autism. My second child is a 10 year old son with adhd and bipolar disorders. My third child is a 3 year old son with a 3-6 month speech delay. My fourth child, is a 14 month old daughter with no delays or any disorders that we know of yet. Them, myself and my second husband all live in central Virginia although we are originally from central New Jersey. I don't get to out alot because my husband works all kinds of strange hours, and because of this I don't do alot of stuff outside of my house. My interests include reading, writing, cooking/baking (I know bad habit for someone who wants control of weight), spending time with my family and friends, computer stuff (not just internet), vacations and quiet time alone with nobody but me. I do have medical problems not related to weight. I have a hyital hernia, lupus SLE, and Arthrthis in my back, and anxiety/depression because of the lupus and hyital hernia and also possibly because of my children's disorders. I joined this group to help support me, give me information and advice on the change of lifestyle that I am embarking on. I will do the same for anyone who wants my help! I want to lose weight finally seriously because I don't like what I see in the mirror anymore, I can't do the things I want to do because of my weight (I feel like a prison with this weight), but the biggest reason is because I want to be around for my children when they are grown, enjoy my grandchildren and reduce my chances for overweight related health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, heart attack, strokes. I don't want my daughter to see me as a fat cow or a whale and feel bad or worse her have a weight problem because I am her role model. It's strange because my children (except my 2 oldest ones) are great healthy eaters. They love fruit and veggies. My other two are yuky eaters that won't try anything new. I have rambled enough. Thank you for allowing me to join and I look forward to learning and becoming friends with all of you!! Take care and hope you have a great night!! Best Wishes Sue..... Guest guest
Hello, Sue-- You should find that your hiatal hernia won't bother you nearly as much once you embark on this WOE. I only have heartburn from mine when I stray from what I'm supposed to be eating. I can't think of when I last had heartburn. It's a great incentive to " stick with it " ! It does sound as though you do have your hands full there at home. Have a great day on the Beach! Carol > Greetings! > My name is Sue and I am starting South Beach Diet on Friday (January 2, > 2004).
