Guest guest
Hi!Welcome! We all agree that you have to figure out what works best for you... and this is my take... For me, I have to eat it until I have gotten it out of my system.. If I feel like eating spinach pasta exclusively for breakfast and dinner for 3 months then go ahead.. now with IE- stick to the confines of being hungry and eating until satisfied. Just knowing I can and will put it on the menu exclusively if I want to, HELPS me to let go of it. I have done it with cheese, chocolate... lots of things. TO me, I have to work through enjoying it while I am eating it... savoring it and not feeling guilty - then it has NO power over me and I can move onto other foods... it has happened here in this house and this body.. You just have to have faith in the process and the journey.. why not spend the time eating foods you love to eat. You may find that once you truly legalize it... it is not really as good as it once was. I bet you remember that from the book as well... Feel free to have a sensual tactile experience with that dough... squish it in your fingers... rub it on your face, make shapes with it... feel the texture of it in your mouth, if you would, explore it like you are 18 months old... be free with it... (and make sure you are home alone... lol) Let yourself enjoy it... Again we all have to find what works for us... and I am or was at the point that I DID NOT WANT TO DIET ANYMORE!!!! That bottom rung...ain't going back.... LJ " Especially really soft, doughy, sugar cookies. After reading the chapter in the book about allowing yourself to eat whatever you want, I made a batch of sugar cookie dough because that is the thing I love most. I ate most of the dough and only baked about 6 large cookies. I couldn't stop at just one cookie or one taste of dough. It's kind of a scary feeling - an uncontrollable feeling. I decided not to do that again. If I don't have it in the house, I won't eat it. I know that's not the right way to deal with it but I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?
