Hi Cheri,

This list doesn't post " attachments " . This is intentional, and makes it

so that the list itself cannot send people viruses. (We recently had

some viruses that kinda LOOKED LIKE they were sent by the list though.)

dutifully deletes anything it receives as an " attachment " , which

results in, as you say, " the text was removed " .

If you receive EMAIL from the list (that is, if you have it " set " to send

you either " individual emails " or " digest " ) then you will have the email

address of all of the people who post stuff. (The email addresses are

included in the posts you receive this way.)

If you are reading the list via the website, then you can't see people's

full email addresses---- but you actually CAN send them individual mail,

using a " form " that provides for this. When you are looking

at an individual post, you can see that the person's email address is

there but " cut off " (e.g. " moriam@e..... " ) CLICK ON that email address

and you will get a form to send mail to just that person. (It looks

a lot like the form to post to the whole list--- be careful as to

which is which.) You can't send attachments this way either though.

I hope this is some help.

best wishes,

Moria
