Guest guest
Kathy: We have been going to Woodlands for 5 years. Both Dr. Buttram and Dr. Kracht are very up-to-date on all aspects of treatments for kids in the autistic spectrum. This is a DAN practice but are open to alternative ideas like Dr. Mercola - Klinghardt - etc. They are well aware of Dr. Amy, Bock, and others. We run all testing through Woodlands, as they are an excellent practice. Make sure they understand that YOU want to KNOW what labs accept/reject your Insurance carrier - that is important so that you know ahead of time what you should expect in lab fees. Good Luck !!! Guest guest
Jim, I took Bret there in November and the melissa test results are still not back yet!! This is goin gon eight weeks. I got the bill from immunoline and it was about 130.00 The bill for buttram and other I think was about 280.00 I am concerned that the results are not yet back for the mercury sensitivity. depending onthe results, we may do the urine test. My son had the hair analysis years ago through buttram and wwas put on a variety of supplements including the chlorella that everyone is now writing about. Bret did well on the chlorella and I kept him onit for years..only recently took him off of it but I had no idea that it contained mercury!! Just wnated to try without it. Anyway, did youget the melissa test/mercury sensitivity there at woodlands? If so, how long did it take for the results?I jsut do not want to start even considering this chelation at this time at least until i get these results. thanks fo ryour response excuse the typos..in a hurry also..does anyone notice their kids craving caffeine...Bret is goin gthrough this polydipsia type state and will drink tea and dark soda constantly if i allowed it..i am to the point that i have to monitor this...he also seems to be drinking alot which is concerning and craving salt as well...he has not done this since he was very little...i am wondering if it is in response to my ceasing the chlorella..?? Interestingly enough..he seems to do better on caffeine if you can imagine this...he is always hyperactive ..maybe a litttle more with caffeine??? We did the special diet thing years ago as well..but what i noticed is that he is a very good eater and usually only eats and drinks healthy foods that are good for him...this is just a new thing over the past two months.. bye for now happy new year everyone! kathyd Re: [ ] Re:Dr. in Philly area > Kathy: > > We have been going to Woodlands for 5 years. Guest guest
Also, Jim and family..let me know where youfolks live..i think i am about two hours give or take from quakertown..it is a nice drive..i may see a mercury free dentist in that area that was rec. by buttram..i take bret to a dentist in state college but he called me a " paranoid schiz " when i tried to express my concerns about mercury..he also said that he was not aware of any controversy with the mercury in amalgams/autism and would liek for me to get him info which of course i will send to him..however i cannot beleive as sa dentist he was not aware of this????He sees a very large population of autistic children in pa and surrounding areas...HMMMM I always first try to educate the professionals but if this does not work it is best to just get one with the same views/beliefs/phhilosophy... again excuse the typos...gotta go b kathyd Re: [ ] Re:Dr. in Philly area > > > > Kathy: > > > > We have been going to Woodlands for 5 years. Guest guest
Drs, only know what they are taught and the drug and supply companies donate monies to the institutions. It is only after they get out of school they really start learning if they have an open mind. C. W. Re: [ ] Re:Dr. in Philly area

I'd suggest the book " What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Children's Vaccinations " by Dr. Cave. Introductory---- explains connection between thimerosal and autism/PDD/etc. Takes it slow and easy.... FWIW, best wishes, Moria
Guest guest
Kathy: Call the practice and ask what LAB the test was sent too. Remember, these doctor's offices are at the mercy of the LABS to get info back in a timely manner. Make sure you check your Insurance r coverage with their practice. In any event, they will accept ACCESS as the primary if you have it for Bret. Good Luck. Jim.
Guest guest
Kathy: We live in Harleysville, PA just outside of Lansdale at exit 31 of the PA Turnpike. We are 25 minutes from Dr. Buttram. Thanks, Jim.
