Guest guest
I am new to this board. I need to lose 10 lbs before I get married next June. I was wondering if anyone else has been successful at losing only 10 lbs. I am afraid that I will not lose 8 to 13 lbs the first 2 weeks as the book says, but the book only gave references to people who had at least 20 lbs to lose and since they say the last 10 lbs are the hardest, I think I am starting off at the hardest point - at least I am guessing that is why nothing is working! I CANNOT lose 10 lbs, it seems absolutely impossible and although it is only 10 measley pounds, they are stuck to me, I swear they are. I plan to continue to work out and eat to this plan, if it doesn't work, I'm not sure what I'll do. With my small frame and height, I am considered, " overweight " at 134 and 5'3 " . I would be comfortable weighing 126 but would be ecstatic if I could weigh 124, which is what I weighed 2 years ago. Good luck to all! Guest guest
---hello.. I too have only ten pounds to lose.... but I'm afraid if I don't do it now, in another year it will be twenty! I recently got married, and along with the honeymoon indulgence (beginning with wedding cake) and the holiday season... I've gained a few lbs.! Have you stuck to South Beach? This message is old, but keep me posted.... I'd like tofind out if you've been successful. bree. Guest guest
I'm in the 15-20 pound group too - I did South Beach before Christmas (with a break for Thanksgiving Day - it was phase 2 for me though) to see if I could get through it - I hate eggs, so breakfast looked to be a problem. I lost total about 10 pounds and gained back 5 during Christmas (when I ate whatever I darn well pleased for a few days), but any dramatic weight gain/loss like that is probably water. Not that worried about it. Anyway, I like the diet - and these last few pounds are the hardest to lose! a
Guest guest
Becky, wondering how youare doing...I only have 10 -15 lbs to lose too. I am doing this diet, havent weighed myself so as not to get grustrated in any. My strategy is to jumpstart with this diet, banish the cravings and eventually get myself back to a weightwatchers program..but this time with limited carbs. I think doing them bothin conjunction may be the ultimate weight loss. Lucille > I am new to this board. I need to lose 10 lbs before I get married > next June. Guest guest
I have thought about this approach as well, since I don't trust myself to know when to stop eating. Follow the SBD, but keep track of the Points. ??? Orea > Becky, wondering how youare doing...I only have 10 -15 lbs to lose > too.
