I always tell people its no BIGGY cause I have had three of them and am going to have a zipper installed in my head next time.....I always joke around :)Shakes people up. Earl's just a stud pony =P, but seriously I've had the same experience (not with dates...yet) but explaining that these tumors are Benign and not cancerous and they usually understand. It also works as a great conversation piece when people ask, " how'd you lose your hearing? " and then you explain. It's a great way to tell people about NF2 and the experiences of being late deaf, especially at CSUN where the majority of deaf people are born deaf so the majority of hearing think that if that all deaf people must've been since the very beginning. Being late deaf has it's advantages when a cute, lookin' honey says, " Gee, I've always wanted to learn Sign Language. " But then there are also conversation with air-heads (both male and female) who say things like, " I've always wanted to learn BRAILLE!!!
