to eliminate/improve the vaginismus.

<< I have had about everything except interferon injections, but from what

I've

read from others, that's not the way to go. It will be painful and there

are other more non-invasive things to try. >>

I had the injections. They didn't happen to help me, but they are not all

*that* painful (like a shot -- just in a more sensitive area). For the ones

closer to the 12:00 area, I experienced some soreness in the precise location

of the shot for an hour or two afterwards. I would also not call them

particularly invasive.

The only side-effect I experienced was flu-like symptoms for a day or two

after the first couple of shots (a common side-effect).

Of course, there are many other methods to try that don't involve needles.

For me it was worth it to " give it a shot " , as it were -- the entire series

took 4 weeks, I think (it was a while ago -- maybe it was 8 weeks?). Anyway,

it was a reasonably short time-investment.

Hope this helps.

YES! It definitely can help that, and is a lot faster than dilators.

I haven't had interferon injections personally but from the studies

and such I've read interferon doesn't seem to help a large percentage

of women and that it isn't a cure. I also got the feeling that

interferon injections were kind of an old-fashioned way of treating

VVS, everyone knows about that possible treatment but not many people

actually have it done anymore.

I personally am having a lot of relief from Estrace, I managed to

talk my doctor into prescribing it to me, a 25 year old. He was

surprised when I asked for it, he had never heard of Estrace being

used for VVS patients (well thank god I had heard of it, it's really

working!).

HI . Glad things are going well after the surgery. As the days go by,

you may just feel better and better, I am hoping for you.

We are having a hear wave as well. We are going into the mid 60's....

hehehehe..... most forecasted in the mid 50's, but that is pretty ok for

here.

Long as there is no wind, I hate wind period, it feels like a spring day.

Thankfully, there is not much wind since I moved to CO.

I seen the UPS dude wearing shorts, I guess since they move around so much,

it works for them.

Love, Normi

Val, I don't have answers, but (((hugs))) anyway. trista

Hello!

Hi! It's me, the stranger. I've been taking Rebif for 9 months now. Do I see a difference? You're *bleepin'* right I do! And it's not for the better! I have more symptoms now than I ever did. And I'm pretty sure it's the Rebif causing most of it. Especially the depression. I've never felt so bad in my whole life!

Does anyone know if it's possible to just go off the stuff cold turkey, or do you have to wean yourself off of it? I have enough for 3 more months, but I don't want it anymore.

Sorry for dumping again. This is one of the reasons I have all but stopped posting. It's the ol', "If you ain't got nothin' nice to say...." But...I do have some nice stuff in my blog. Mostly just filler stuff.

God bless you all!!

Hi Val,……..i think some medicines

can cause depression in some people. It will be interesting to see how you get

to feeling if you go off of the rebif. I really pray that’s what is

causing it for you. I owe you a letter, and will try and get one off to you

soon. J

Hugs, Jackie

Dear Valene:

My heart goes out to you. I don't have an answer as far as Rebif goes but when I stopped Avonex I just stopped. I had no side effects. But Rebif is stronger than Avonex so I don't know.

Feel better soon. We all miss you here!

{{{{{{{{Val}}}}}}}} It's all part of the MS journey. An unpleasant and unwanted part, but a part nonetheless. Everyone here understands, Val. What better place to come and share even the hardest times than where people really do get it and really can empathize. I don't know anything of Rebif, but if you notice such a negative change associated with the med, then checking into weaning seems a very wise choice to me. HUGS, Challis Valene wrote: Hi! When I stopped rebif I just stopped. Same with copaxone. No side effects from stopping, more side effects from taking them!
