Guest guest
Jan, Our son also had Uva Ursi show up as a natural substance that the Klebsiella and some of his yeast were sensitive to. He was only 2.5 and @ 28 lbs. We were told to give it for only 10 days then stop which we did. We started with 2 capsule 440 mg each which seemed too much for him and gave him bad burning diarrhea. In retrospect, this could have been part of die-off. I backed off to giving 1/2 capsule 2x day and he did much better. His next CSA came back with the Klebsiella gone. I would consider that a success and I would choose it again over an antiobiotic. Lori
Guest guest
The difference may be that you rotated it. We were prescribed to use 1/3 capsule at 3 times/day. Maybe that was just too much for him and rotating may work better as you said. Carla Re: Uva Ursi My son did very well on Uva Ursi, when we used it as one of several antifungals we rotated, using a different one every 4 days, and the candida did go away. Just so people know it's not bad for all kids.
