Guest guest
I am so late in letting you know how has been doing! The end of school was hectic, not in just the usual way, but due to other circumstances also going on in my classroom. In April Zander got his first hearing aid. The first morning I put them in before school he stopped, a big grin went across his face and he turned to me and said, " Mom! I can hear the birds singing! I can hear footsteps! " You just don't realize sometimes what they are missing. We had one scare when he took it out after school and couldn't remember where he had put it, but he had put it next to where it should have been put. But it was a nerve-breaking 24 hrs! We went to the zoo the other day with another friend and her three yr old. When we were sitting on the train waiting for the ride to start her little boy asked what it was. We explained about how it hwlped him hear. The little boy then leaned over and screamed " hi! " in his ear! We all jumped and said " NO! " We asked Zander if he was okay and he replied " Yes, I turned it off when we were watching the monkeys and listening to them screaming, they were too loud. " No wonder he hadn't reacted! They have really made such a difference! Deb Cawley Aislinn papillons cawley@... aislinnpapillons@...
