Guest guest
With my wife changing jobs we have decided to make use of Cobra until her insurance with her new company kicks in. Her insurance won't kick in for 90 days after she starts her new job. I was wondering if any of you have made use of Cobra and also what is the price of medicine like? I am wondering how well they will pick up my Copaxone? Will I be hit with a big bill for my Copaxone? Bill
Guest guest
Cobra works just like you still have the insurance, your just paying for the benefit out of pocket instead of the company paying for it so you should run into no problems ' in TexasMS-Bill wrote: With my wife changing jobs we have decided to make use of Cobra until her insurance with her new company kicks in. Guest guest
Thanks and my wife got the info on Cobra to sign up with them. The price of Cobra is higher than I had hoped for. Judy's company has written info out so I won't have trouble getting on the insurance with her new company. I am hoping my Copaxone fee isn't too expensive. They like to make it hard for us to purchase medicine we need so bad. Bill krissyinnh@... wrote: In 'most' cases the insurance is the same plan as she had when she was employed. I say 'most' because there are always companies out there who have different plans! She just needs to ask the person who handles the benefits for the company she is leaving or just call the insurance company directly. But the monthly cost of the insurance plan is usually much, much higher. In a message dated 9/9/2006 8:06:51 A.M. Guest guest
Bill, Cobra will be your old insurance. You're just paying the full price for having the insurance instead of just part of the price of the and the company paying part of the price. So everything should be the same. Just the price paid FOR the insurance. YOur meds should be the same price and etc. ShirleyMS-Bill wrote: With my wife changing jobs we have decided to make use of Cobra until her insurance with her new company kicks in. Guest guest
Thanks Shirley we plan to sign up with them on Monday. I was able to mail order my last script refills so I have plenty that will last a few month's except for my Copaxone I had to get one month at a time. They have been running a TV commercial lately for you to see if they have unclaimed money for you and my wife put her in her name and she hit the jackpot. That was a nice surprise. It was under her maiden name. I hope she lets me spend some since we weren't married at that time. Ha Indianaunclaimed.com Bill Shirley wrote: Bill, Cobra will be your old insurance. Guest guest
I Shirley Cobra has turned out to be a waste of time for me. We filled the Cobra info also with money and after sending all that info in I ended up calling them to find out when I could start getting my meds. When I called them we were told we did not pay enough for their requirements. It turned out their fees changed. When I called them the second time they gave me the new amount I needed to send. I sent that also. I waited a few day's to check on my status and they asked me if I had gotten my coupons yet? I had no idea what that was . I was told in that call they would be coming. Once those came I called again for my status. I was told I still needed to send more money to meet their obligation. That was this past Friday and also the last of the month. Judy told me they probably do that so they don't end up paying for your meds. I spent over $1000 for nothing. since Judy's insurance kicks in the first of November I told Judy were not wasting more money on Cobra. I have plenty of my diabetic supplies for the next month but I am out of my Copaxone now for a month. That is OK I plan to attend this meeting on the 12th. of October > Hi Everyone, > Time for our September meeting. Will be Thursday the 14th, starting > at 6:30pm Riverview RehabCenter.
