Ahhhhhh Janet... I was sorry to hear about someone invading your privacy and taking

your clothes. I am glad that you have been able to look at the sunny side of "at least they didn't get".... sometimes laughter is just what it takes to get thru these things.

Glad you and your daughter were ok and that you went on an had a good day at Sea World. Your message was a good example of how we can overcome troubleing times

thanks for sharing.

Had a wonderful time on my mini-get-away, despite the fact that my luggage was stolen out of my truck! I picked my daughter up from her church camp in Wimberley and whisked her away for a day at Sea World. I'm right with on not paying needless high prices, so we stopped at Rudy's BBQ place near Sea World before actually going in park. Didn't realize that hadn't opened her door yet when I hit the power locks, so when she did get out, it unlocked, and then stayed that way while we went in and ate. When we went back out, she realized that her door was unlocked and then we noticed that my suitcase was missing. Fortunately, all of her stuff was still at church camp. Sooo, we then must've looked like a couple of loons, looking all around the truck, in the bed, and even UNDERNEATH the truck... as if it was all a bad joke and someone stole my stuff just to hide it under my

truck!! Sat in the truck to think through what all I was missing... and then I just started laughing. I scared ... she thought that I was losing it, and even asked me if I was laughing because something was funny, or because I was hysterical and angry. Here I was, several hours from home, for 4 days... with no clothes, toiletries, etc. and all I could think of was WELL, AT LEAST THEY DIDN'T GET MY "WEIGH-IN" CLOTHES!!!! (I've weighed in in the same top and shorts for months... and I just so happened to be wearing them that day!) Also, on a good note... I'd brought along my TOPS binder which holds everything from my weight record bankbook, food journal, notes, program ideas, and those dreaded "before" pictures, and I also had my bills along because I was going to use the quiet time in the hotel to do paperwork and get organized. Well, when I'd packed the night before, I had the TOPS binder and bills IN my suitcase, but at the last

minute decided to put them in a separate tote that I hid behind the seat. Thank goodness.... if the thief would've stole that tote, he/she would've had access to my account numbers. Everything else that was stolen was replaceable... well, everything except for my favorite threadbare walking shorts... the only ones that don't "ride-up" when I'm powerwalking! We still had a great time at Sea World... and when I drove back to church camp we played "It Could Be Worse"...could've stole my "weigh-in" clothes, my account numbers, my TOPS binder, THE TRUCK, etc., etc. I spent the next couple of days sight seeing and shopping before picking up from camp and coming back home. And although its always nice to get away for a bit, its really nice coming back home.

Janet, this is a loss I can say "I'm sorry" to hear about!! LOL I'm glad now that I carry my other suitcase with me. I call it my purse. I carry all of my bills and checkbook and letters, etc in it. As a matter of fact it is my TOPS bag, the one I bought at SRD this year (the light blue one with the rounded slotted handles). The heavier it gets, the more weight I have to swing around when I walk into anywhere. The key word here is "swing". Yeah. Anyway, probably just some kids out for kicks, doing a last of the summer terrorizing before going back to school. Good luck. BarbieHamilton & Feeser wrote:

((((( Janet )))))

Please tell me that part of your laughter was because there were dirty clothes in that suitcase and some one got them???? Now THAT would be funny. But it could also be sad, if, for some reason, they needed those clothes more than you did. I've stopped trying to figure out the "why" of such happenings and just get beyond them - the exception to this would be the movie "The Village" which I saw this weekend. I have been driving my "sometimes smarter than me" husband insane with questions about it, to the point he's said, "If you don't stop overanalyzing that movie, I'm not ever taking you to see another M. Night Shyamalan movie again!"

It was a GREAT movie but if you go to see it, try not to think about it too much (trust me, that's more of a challenge than you realize!).

Hugs,
